Artificial Leaf

The idea for the "artificial leaf" came from a desire to be able to produce energy on-demand in a manner that would be clean, renewable, and inexpensive. The device uses water and sunlight to create hydrogen fuel through a process known as water electrolysis. The hydrogen can be stored as a gas, liquid, or as electricity in a battery.
