Adaptors: Also known as adapters, adaptors are devices that transform or alter the connection type or interface between two different devices. They are often used when the connectors or ports of two devices do not match. Adaptors can convert between several connection types, such as USB, HDMI, VGA, or audio connections, allowing devices with incompatible ports to connect and communicate with one another. In the context of electronics, a plug is a male connection that is supposed to fit into a matching female connector. Plugs are commonly used to connect electrical or digital equipment. For example, a devices power cord commonly has a plug at one end that connects to a power outlet, while the other end remains disconnected.
