Birth Control Pills

The birth control pill, also known as the pill, is a type of medication used to prevent pregnancy. It contains synthetic hormones, estrogen and progesterone, and is taken orally on a daily basis. The birth control pill is most commonly used by women who are sexually active and who do not want to become pregnant. It is also sometimes prescribed to women who have had their ovaries removed, or those who have been diagnosed with a medical condition that increases their risk of having a baby.
