Castor Oil

Castor beans are used to make the vegetable oil known as castor oil. Castor oil has a distinct flavour and aroma and ranges in colour from dull to very light yellow. Its thickness is 0.961 g/cm3, and its maximum temperature is 313 °C (595 °F). It is a fatty substance with ricinoleates making up about 90% of the unsaturated fat chains. The other important components are oleate and linoleates.
