Microorganisms are destroyed by Silver Dihydrogen Citrate in two different ways:
1) The deactivation of structural and metabolic membrane proteins by the silver ion results in microbial death;
2) The silver ion enters the bacterium because the bacteria perceive SDC as a food source. The silver ion denatures the DNA once it enters the organism, which prevents the microbe from reproducing and ultimately causes its demise. SDC is highly and immediately efficient against a variety of microorganisms thanks to this dual action.
Silver Dihydrogen Citrate does not emit harmful fumes and is non-toxic, non-caustic, colourless, odourless, and tasteless. SDC is not hazardous to people or animals, despite being highly poisonous to bacteria, fungi, and viruses.
