A serotonin and histamine antagonist with anticholinergic properties is cyproheptadine hydrochloride. It has a clinical use for promoting appetite and growth. Three choline molecules make up tricholine citrate. Clinical interest in choline is primarily driven by its lipotropic properties and potential for treating liver cirrhosis and fatty infiltration. A low-calorie sweetener is sorbitol.
