Common Guar Meal

Guar meal is a byproduct of the guar bean, a type of bean that is primarily grown in India. Guar beans are crushed and then boiled to extract the fiber-rich meal. Guar meal is an excellent source of dietary fiber, and is also a good source of protein. It is usually used as a thickening agent, in products such as sauces, soups, and gravies.
