Cover Blocks

The rebar matrix is raised off the ground by the use of a cover block, which functions more or less as a spacer to allow concrete to flow beneath the rebar. The rebar must be entirely covered in concrete to avoid corrosion. On both sides, it often has to be covered by 2 to 3 inches. Consequently, the cover block raises the rebar by around 2 to 3 inches and turns into a long-lasting, essential component of the freshly poured concrete.
