Cover Blocks

In essence, a cover block acts as a spacer to raise the rebar matrix off the ground and allow concrete to flow beneath the rebar. The rebar needs to be completely covered in concrete to stop corrosion. Typically, it has to be covered on all sides by 2 to 3 inches. The cover block becomes a permanent and essential component of the concrete that has been poured as a result, lifting the rebar up by around 2 to 3 inches.
