Dry indigo leaves

The earthy aroma of soil. A thick, resinous sap that makes you feel connected to the plant. In the company of botanists and gardeners, I felt at home. There was a calm that washed over me, and I couldnt help but take a deep breath. I was surrounded by the smells of plants and dirt and nature. The best part of the plant, though, was the thick, resinous sap. As I held it in my hand, I could feel the plant reaching out to me, the sap still wet with life.
