Floor Broom

Brooms were frequently utilised in matrimonial rituals to symbolise a marriage. Enslaved African-Americans married in a civil ceremony known as "jumping the broom," in which the pair literally jumped over a broom to indicate marriage.A broom is also a symbol of witchcraft and ceremonial witchcraft.
