Internal Floppy Disk

A popular form of magnetic disc storage are floppy discs. A thick, flexible disc with a magnetic coating on the recording surface distinguishes them. These discs were the first storage devices used in computers, although hard discs have mainly taken their place. A floppy disc drive reads and writes data from and onto a magnetic disc storage medium known as a floppy disc.
