Marble Durga Statue

The Durga statue is the embodiment of the Hindu goddess Durga, a fierce warrior goddess who slays the evil buffalo demon Mahishasura. Durga has a wide open face heavy eyebrows, and a long, plump neck. The statue is dressed in a tight, ornate dress and a red cloth that covers her head. The statues right hand rests on her hip while the left hand rests on her sword. The base of the statue is embellished with a figure of Mahishasura.
