In the Victorian era, plaster of paris was used in many ways, from cosmetic products to construction materials. The plaster of paris was made of gypsum, which was a natural substance. In the past, the gypsum was ground down and mixed with water, and then it was poured onto a mold to create a paste. After the paste had dried, the plaster would be removed from the mold and then used in many different ways.
