PTFE, or polytetrafluoroethylene, is a synthetic polymer that is a commonly used fluid material in many industries. The material is very resistant to corrosion and can withstand high temperatures. It is often used as a sealant, but it is also found in electrical and electronic products. PTFE is the basis for Teflon, a brand of non-stick cookware.
