Rotavirus Vaccine

Rotavirus is a contagious, acute viral infection of the stomach and intestines that causes severe diarrhea. The virus is passed to humans by contact with infected food or by contact with infected feces. The most common symptoms of rotavirus are watery diarrhea, vomiting, and fever. Most children who contract rotavirus will recover without any long-term effects. However, the disease is associated with a range of complications, including dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, and gastroenteritis. Rotavirus is the leading cause of infectious diarrhea worldwide.
