Camphor from Borneo or Barus is another name for it. To conduct an aarti, camphor is burned. In the Hindu custom of traditional Pooja or any other celebration, Puja Kapoor holds a special position. It is totally white in colour, and when burned, it changes to the colour of fire (Agni), burning itself out completely and leaving no trace.
