Sevelamer Carbonate Tablets is an oral drug for the treatment of hyperkalemia, hypermagnesemia, and hypomagnesemia. It is a potassium-sparing diuretic that decreases the excretion of potassium and also inhibits the absorption of sodium and chloride. It also prevents hyperaldosteronism and reduces the incidence of metabolic acidosis. It is available in generic form.
