Laminates are frequently created from paper that has been treated with chemical resins to increase strength and stiffness. The primary materials used in the production of all sorts of laminates including kitchen laminates are: Brown paper (sometimes referred to as Kraft paper) Phenolic resins (phenol-based resins)
