Tetanus Vaccine

A vaccine is a medical preparation that prevents or reduces the incidence of a disease by introducing a dead or inactivated agent into the body. Tetanus vaccine prevents the disease by stimulating the immune system to create antibodies that target and neutralize tetanus toxin, which is released by the bacterium Clostridium tetani, the causative agent of the disease. Tetanus is a disease caused by infection with the bacterium Clostridium tetani.
