Typhoid Vaccine

A disease of unknown origins, typhoid fever is caused by a bacterial infection that can lead to severe symptoms including high fever, headache, and pain in the abdomen. Typhoid is spread by food or water contaminated by feces of an infected person, so it is common in developing countries. In the United States, the most common cause of typhoid fever is poor sanitation. While the disease can be treated with antibiotics, a vaccine is also available.
