Typhoid Vaccine

The Typhoid Vaccine is a medicine that is administered by injection. It is used to prevent the Typhoid Fever caused by the bacteria called Salmonella Typhi. The vaccine was developed in 1907, and it is administered orally. It is made of killed bacteria and therefore it is not able to cause Typhoid Fever. The vaccine is recommended for all people travelling to areas with high rates of the disease. Typhoid fever is a bacterial infection that can lead to potentially fatal complications. The bacteria can enter the body through the mouth, nose, or eyes, and cause a range of symptoms, including fever, headache, and loss of appetite. The most common symptoms of typhoid fever are diarrhea, abdominal pain, and weight loss. Typhoid vaccine is the most common form of typhoid fever treatment and consists of two doses of the bacteria vaccine given three weeks apart.
