Mesalamine Tablets are used for treating ulcerative colitis and Crohns disease. Mesalamine Tablets contain the active ingredient mesalamine which is a steroidal anti-inflammatory agent. Mesalamine Tablets may also be used to help with symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome, gastroenteritis, and ulcerative proctitis. Mesalamine Tablets are usually taken once daily for up to 6 months or twice daily for up to 4 weeks.
