Mesalamine Tablets

Mesalamine, commonly known as 5-aminosalicylic acid (5-ASA), is an ulcerative colitis treatment. It is typically used to elicit or maintain remission in patients suffering from mild to moderately active ulcerative colitis. In Crohns disease, clinicians may use off-label mesalamine after surgical resection of the afflicted bowel.
