Mesalamine Tablets

Mesalamine, commonly known as 5-aminosalicylic acid (5-ASA), is a drug used to treat ulcerative colitis. It is typically used to initiate or maintain remission in patients with mild to moderately active ulcerative colitis. Clinicians may use mesalamine off-label in Crohns disease after surgical excision of the afflicted intestine.
