Sucralfate Tablets

Sucralfate is a brand name of the drug known as sucralfate. This drug is used for the relief of pain and inflammation of the mouth, throat, and pharynx due to oral ulcers, canker sores, and sore throats. Sucralfate is a sucrose based compound which helps to protect the mucous membrane of the stomach and intestines from acid and pepsin. It is also a mild antacid which has been found to be more effective than other over-the-counter products such as Tums or Rolaids.
