Tocotrienol

One of the natural components of vitamin E, tocotrienol is a type of vitamin E that is found in higher concentrations in palm oil. It has been shown to have many health benefits, including protecting the body against oxidative stress, as well as the effects of aging. Tocotrienols are vitamin E-like compounds found in grape seed, walnuts, wheat germ, and other plants. The tocotrienols are known for their ability to increase levels of HDL cholesterol, or good cholesterol, in the blood. The effect is similar to that of a statin drug.
