Antacid Tablet

The antacid tablet is a small, rectangular-shaped pill with a white coating. It has a faint mint smell and is sometimes a bit hard to swallow. The active ingredients in the pill are aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, and potassium hydroxide. The aluminum and magnesium hydroxide neutralize stomach acids, and the potassium hydroxide helps with the pain of heartburn. The pill may also contain lactose, so people who are lactose intolerant should not take it.
